Tottenham vs Luton LIVE!

Spurs return to Premier League action this evening looking to make amends for a humiliating loss to Fulham last time out, which saw the north Londoners fail to score in the top flight for the first time in over a year. The Hatters come home today looking for their second win in 10 games.

Tottenham must win today to keep their top-four hopes alive – even if fifth place is looking increasingly likely to reach Champions League football – and there will be little excuse if they don’t and Luton come having gained one point from the last 15 available. and have 10 players unavailable for their short trip south.

Micky van de Ven should be available to start and Richarlison is expected to at least make the bench after shaking off niggling injuries. Follow the match LIVE below with our dedicated match blog, featuring insight and expert analysis from Dan Kilpatrick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Ange Postecoglou expects ‘tough game’

13:35 , Young Alex

“Luton have been very competitive all year. They always made it difficult for the opposition, in every game. I think Rob has done a great job this year, considering all the challenges they’ve had and are currently having with injuries.

“Every game I’ve watched, they’re always competitive, they always make it difficult for the opposition and tomorrow will be no different for us and we have to be ready for it.

“We’re back at home, of course the last game was disappointing but we have to make sure we play our football again and play our best because that’s what will be needed.”

Rob Edwards tells Spurs to expect another Luton

Tottenham secured a narrow 1-0 win at Kenilworth Road in October despite a red card for Yves Bissouma.

Micky van de Ven scored the winner in the second half but it was only a maddening 20 minutes when the visitors overcame the Luton goal.

“They were fantastic and we got a few things wrong in the first game,” Hatters boss Edwards said.

“The plan was right for where we were at that time and how we were going about things. But the first 18 minutes or so it was like ‘wow!’. The pace and quality of their play was just unbelievable .

“I remember being probably the most animated I have ever been on the touchline because it was clear what we were not getting right. But when we adjusted, they are ahead of the ball but we were in game.

“There was a lot to be said for that performance at that stage of the season, going up against Tottenham the way they were performing at the time, they were on a real roll.

“But we are going about our work in a different way now so we will see – in that place as well, a big stadium which will create a very good atmosphere – how we deal with them this time. I am really looking forward to seeing how far we’ve come. Hopefully we’ll be a bit more threatening this time.”

Although Spurs are not always completely convincing at home, questions would be asked if they beat a team that has only won once in ten games.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is set to welcome back defender Micky van de Ven today, as Richarlison manages a worsening knee injury.

Van de Ven missed the 3-0 win at Fulham before the international break with a hamstring strain but has trained this week, and is likely to replace Radu Dragusin in the back four.

Richarlison insists he will start as well despite not being in the squad for Brazil due to the break.

Postecoglou has said the forward is ready to play but Richarlison may have to settle for a place on the bench again, with Timo Werner and Brennan Johnson also competing to captain Heung-min Son in the starting three.

Australia face a decision in midfield, where Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Sarr are fighting for two places.

Bissouma was sent off in Spurs’ 1-0 win at Luton back in October but Postecoglou is usually favored as Spurs’ deepest midfielder.
