Two people have been killed in horror crashes outside Victoria station and on a busy west London commuter road.
One person died when a bus appeared to hit a bus stop outside the station on Monday morning. It came hours after a crash during a police pursuit on the A3 in Roehampton left a motorcyclist dead.
Meanwhile, rail passenger services have been disrupted and the Aslef union is set to begin a nine-day overtime ban today before a rolling program of walkouts is launched from Tuesday.
There will be one-day strikes across 17 different train operating companies between Tuesday and Monday, February 5, as well as a ban on overtime across all train companies from today until Tuesday, February 6, which may result in short notice cancellations.
Disruption on Tuesday will hit key London train services including South Western Rail, South Eastern Rail and Govia Thameslink – which includes Southern, Gatwick Express and Thameslink.
Passengers have been asked to check before they travel as there will be changes to services across large parts of the network, with some train operators not running any services on strike days.
Ongoing services may start later and finish much earlier than usual – usually between 7.30am and 6.30pm.

The following operators will be affected by industrial action from today until February 6:
Good morning
07:03 , King of Jordan
Hello and welcome to The Standard’s coverage of London travel.
Today is the first day of a nine-day overtime ban by the Associated Society of Engine Engineers and Firemen (Aslef), which means its members will refuse to work outside their contracted hours.
While this will be less disruptive than a full walkout, Aslef says no train operator “employs enough drivers to deliver the service they promise to passengers and businesses they will provide without asking drivers to work their days off”. .
