The sleek, quiet and powerful Okp K2 Robot Vac is one of the best I’ve tried

Robots allow you to put your cleaning on autopilot, saving you a lot of time and energy. Having tested my fair share as Yahoo Life’s resident home editor, I can also attest that they can, unfortunately, be clunky, clumsy and difficult to navigate—not to mention expensive. Enter the Okp K2 Robot Vacuum, a favorite among Amazon reviewers, Yahoo Life readers (and now yours truly!) for its sleek, intuitive design and efficiency that rivals some of the biggest brands in the biz.

My only regret is that I didn’t try it sooner: The K2 has saved me so much hassle and added hours to my week. Read on for what makes it one of my favorite robot vacuums to date and – here’s where it gets exciting – score one for just $75, Amazon’s lowest price yet, when you apply our exclusive discount code 50YAHÓ50 at the checkout until May 7.

What makes the OKP K2 Robot Vacuum so great

After reading some recent hype (more on that later) about the Okp Life K2 Robot Vacuum, I decided to take it for a spin. It arrives with everything you need, including AAA batteries and an extra air filter, and charges up quickly (although it will get a full cleaning cycle, the brand recommends four to five hours of charging).

You can schedule a sweep remotely

It couldn’t be easier to set up and start. Simply tap the Start button (or hold it for three seconds to enter Wi-Fi pairing mode) for simple setup. The Okp also works with voice activation via Alexa or Google Assistant (what I use), and can be controlled via smart apps for iOS or Android. The app allows for scheduled brushing, which is really handy when I’m late getting home and expecting company. I use the iPhone version of the app and it’s easy to use – syncing is great and scheduling is a lifesaver.

It is quiet, yet mighty

Vacuuming under my feet while working from home or drooling on my couch is non-negotiable. The Okp K2 has proven to be quiet enough to get the job done without waking me up and without my boss knowing that Rosie the Robot is cleaning around me during a video chat.

Despite being so quiet, it packs 1800Pa of power and a HEPA filter to effectively pick up human and pet hair, dirt and debris (bonus: improved air quality). It’s also extremely versatile, designed for hardwood floors and rugs, with four different settings for added customization. The ability to detail edges or spot treat is a huge help when I’m in a hurry or need extra attention to an area.

It’s sleek and slim (suitable for small spaces)

Unlike some other clunkier robot vacs I’ve tried, the Okp K2 Robot Vac is also incredibly sleek. It has a minimalist design and a shallow body that measures less than 3 inches tall (competitors typically hover around 4 inches).

That slim profile is proven essential for cleaning sofas, consoles and dressers – or any other hard-to-reach areas – to give those areas a much more thorough clean. No more bending over to get under furniture your empty robot might have missed.

And you don’t have to worry about the K2 bashing into furniture or tumbling down the stairs and breaking, at least based on my experience, thanks to the anti-fall detection technology.

It is powerful

I’m getting the promised 100 minutes per charge (give or take) before the K2 goes back to its dock to charge. I can usually sneak in two or three vacuum cycles before emptying the generous but slim dust collection bin. Judging by how full the bin is and how sleek my floors look when they’re done, I’d say the K2 vacuum is very efficient at doing its thing. It’s a solid (and, with our exclusive discount, much cheaper) bet for someone who hasn’t yet experienced the life-changing convenience of a vacuum robot – or who wants to add an extra-slim, quiet option to their collection.

What customers are saying

By now, you can say I’m a K2 driver – and in good company. The Okp K2 Robot Vacuum is endorsed by over 8,000 customers who rely on the robot vacuum to keep both rugs and hardwood floors free of dirt and lint:

“One of the best,” exclaimed one critic. “I just purchased our third K2 vacuum…the first two were purchased in 2021 and 2022 and are still working well despite daily use. We have mostly hardwood floors and [the K2s] who is quiet and absorbed enough to keep our house clean with two dogs and three cats. The app is easy to use and you can name your vacuum and set different schedules. It tells you the charge on each vacuum and has a find feature if your vacuum gets lost. You can set different suction powers [and cleaning modes] on the app too.”

“I’m so impressed,” said another shopper who also said the K2 rivaled its high-end Shark. “It replaces a constant struggle with vacuuming once a day. I’m always amazed at how much hair it gets and how great my hard floors look. [The vac] came with a replacement for each brush arm and the filter. Emptying it and cleaning the arms is as easy as taking them off, removing anything, and pushing the arms back in.”

“I’m glad I bought one,” wrote a third. “… I thought he would be trapped in the dining room with the chair and the table legs – and nope, he kept going when he found a free path. He ran for an hour and a half.” The reviewer said they had to help the robot vac find its way back to the charging station in this case but the bin was full, indicating it did a “good job.” They said to him: “All, [the vac is] worth the cost and, even without the app, it does what it’s supposed to do.”
