What is Black Friday?
Black Friday began as a shopping event in the US, and first came to the UK in 2010. Since then, it has firmly established itself as one of the biggest sales moments of the year, alongside the likes of Amazon Prime Day and January sales. .
Most retailers run flash sales for at least 24 hours on Black Friday itself, but an increasing number of discounts now start early, sometimes even weeks before the big day, and through Cyber Weekend to Cyber Monday, which always falls on the Monday after Black Friday.
Black Friday is usually the last chance you get to pick up deals before Christmas, so it’s a great opportunity to stock up on gifts.
When is Black Friday, 2023?
Black Friday always takes place on the fourth Friday of November, after Thanksgiving – which means it’s on Friday, 24 November 2023. However, many brands start their sales early and will continue to run discounts until Monday, Monday, 27 November 2023.
How to get the best beauty deals on Black Friday
Most beauty brands and major retailers are now running Black Friday deals, so it’s worth shopping around to get the best deals for you. It may actually be more affordable to buy your favorite products from a specialist beauty retailer, such as Cult Beauty or Lookfantastic, although you can often find great bargains on individual brand websites too. Make sure you do your research before adding to the basket.
As with all sales shopping, it can be easy to go overboard and get swayed by the price tags, but we firmly believe that it’s best to focus on the products and brands you know you’ll love and use of them, whether that is long-term. favorites or luxury purchases you’ve been wanting to sample for a long time.
