One of the most common beliefs in beauty is that quality is determined by price. “You get what you pay for. Pay cheap; pay twice.” Whatever your thoughts on that philosophy, Beauty Pie is living proof that this isn’t always the case. You’ve certainly heard of it; after all, it’s one of the most disruptive brands to enter the beauty space within the last 10 years (at least).
But if you’ve yet to try Beauty Pie and are wondering whether to invest in a membership – or if you’ve just signed up but aren’t sure which hero to buy to add to the basket – take a look then the expertise of our beauty team. the best Beauty Pie products, plus everything you need to know about the brand.

What is Beauty Pie?
Think of Beauty Pie as a luxury beauty subscription club. The brand is the brainchild of Marcia Kilgore, the entrepreneur behind iconic brands such as Soap & Glory and Bliss.
Sign up to become a member and it gives you access to luxury cosmetics at factory prices, removing the markups from over-packaging, marketing and middle-of-the-road retailers. One thing they don’t cut back on, however, is quality. These products are formulated by some top dermatologists and created in amazing laboratories. Simply put, Beauty Pie gives customers the opportunity to buy luxury beauty products at cost price.
If there is a product you love but don’t want to join, you can also buy the items at ‘typical price’. It’s hard to justify when you see the prices stacked against each other, though. For example: the Super Healthy Skin Body Cream is £15.50 for members, but the quality and markings would bring this product to a typical price of £60.
How does Beauty Pie work?
First, you have to sign up for membership – Beauty Pie only makes a profit from member donations.
There are two membership options. The first is an annual subscription for £4.95 per month, or a monthly subscription for £10 per month. You can cancel at any time by completing a cancellation form.
You can also sign up for a 30-day free trial to see if you like the site and the products.
Unlike the previous tiered membership system, there is no longer a limit to how often you can shop or how much you can buy, so you can stock up as much as you want .

Beauty Pie Youthbomb Serum Review

Price for non-members: £185
Now. It says something when a brand has their most expensive product as well as their best, doesn’t it? When Red’s Senior Beauty Editor, Alexandra Friend, first tried this product, she immediately understood why this is. This serum is a workhorse if ever there was one. In short, it is full of ingredients that work to plump up the skin, restore bounce and glow (think ceramides, peptides, hydrates). There is no such thing as a miracle treatment, but everyone we know who has used this has said that their skin looks and feels better overnight. Alexandra is on bottle number 3, and she shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.

Applying SPF every morning would be great if they all felt as dreamy as this one. It has a light, lotion texture that absorbs easily. The best part? It plays exceptionally well under makeup, even when you apply it heavily. There is no pilling or rolling in sight: just an extremely comfortable satiny finish, which leaves the skin feeling soft and subtly glowing.

Although some setting sprays leave an uncomfortable, sticky feeling on the skin. Instead, this feels more like a skincare-style facial mist, and it’s packed with ingredients that suggest it is too (think niacinamide and aloe vera). However, it works like a setting spray: a few spritzes soften the shine and lock the makeup in place, helping it look fresher for longer. A smart buy for summer.
Review of Beauty Pie Super Retinol

Price for non-members: £75
To soften fine lines around the eye area, you need retinol. This will not be a surprising amount of eye cream. Beauty Pie’s offering is as effective as you’d expect: yes, there’s retinol here (but in a slow-release form designed to be gentle around the eyes), and hyaluronic acid and plant extracts to prevent any potential irritation. It is sensitive, works hard and will make a slow but steady difference in making the eye area fresher and brighter.

Red’s beauty team is hard to please when it comes to foundations and bases. We’ve taken Beauty Pie’s latest offering, though: a skin tint that feels more skincare than makeup. This is just to suggest coverage, which is just enough to create a tinted complexion and hide minor redness or dullness. The finish is gleamy (not glossy), and wears beautifully throughout the day as it blends into the skin. We prefer to apply it with the fingers, brushed over the skin and pressed in for an imperceptible finish.
Beauty Pie Triple Hyaluronic Acid review
Member price: £24
Price for non-members: £90
You would be surprised how difficult it can be to get hyaluronic acid right. In too many formulas, the ingredient can feel sticky, gritty or drying, sitting supportively under makeup. Forget those: Beauty Pie serum is a masterclass in it. There are three weights of hyaluronic acid here for ample penetration and hydration, as well as line-reducing peptides and ceramides to nourish the skin’s barrier. The texture is also excellent: gel-like and fast absorbing, without even a hint of stickiness. Beauty Pie frequently chops and changes their product inventory, but this is not expected to go anywhere.
Beauty Pie AcidEnzyme review

It’s okay to be skeptical of a cleanser that claims to be good for the face and body; we were too. This is one that has salicylic acid and enzymes that act like a Pac-Man duo to nibble away at areas of congestion and really smooth the skin. It is great post-exercise to get rid of any perspiration, as well as the upper limbs to smooth out areas of Keratosis Pilaris or KP (those little red bumps that so many of us have). It’s just a light foam so gentle enough to use on the face, especially on the T-zone or areas prone to blemishes. Expect clearer and softer skin.

Dark circles and blemishes around the eyes are best tackled with careful color correction. These cream pots neutralize areas of darkness in the inner corners of the eyes, and are best applied under your favorite concealer for full coverage. Because they are best worn under concealer, their texture is balmy and hydrating, melting into the skin with the warmth of the fingers. These give an instant boost and insanity, and are a great way to fake more hours of rest.

Hydration always makes skin look better, which is why we can’t get enough of this moisturizer that lends itself in buckets. The texture of the gel is so light that it practically melts into the skin before you have a chance to rub it in, leaving behind just a nice natural glow. All skin types will benefit from this, but oiler types will especially enjoy the fresh feeling of this.

These pillowy lip crayons in matte are a master class: soft, plush and not drying at all. They are so easy to scribble these on the lips for some opaque color, and they can be built up without feeling drying. If your lips tend to be on the drier side, apply lip balm beforehand for maximum comfort; although we think you’ll be surprised by the creaminess of this matte texture.
Beauty Pie Candle House Clean review

Our beauty writer, Phoebe Lee, makes almost every candle she finds; therefore, she has spent quite a lot over the years in search of her favorite one. The projection of this scent is one that started her love for the Beauty Pie candle offering. It reaches almost every corner of the room when lit, and smells amazing even when not lit. The scent is fresh, comforting and familiar; she makes stock up with every order she places.
