Rangers vs Celtic LIVE: Score and updates from Old Firm as visitors name unchanged team

Rangers host Celtic in an Old Firm clash that could decide the Premier League title race. Celtic have won 11 of the last 12 titles and Rangers lead by a point, but the Ibrox side have a game in hand and have been excellent under Philippe Clement since losing 2-0 at Celtic Park in December.

Celtic also won 1-0 at Ibrox in September – against former Rangers boss Michael Beale – but Brendan Rodgers’ side have since struggled with injuries as their rivals have closed the gap. There will be one more Old Firm to play towards the end of the season, following a split in the Premiership.

However, a few more could still be in store for a title race with plenty of twists and turns.

11:39 , Ben Fleming

“This game is huge. These games are always crucial in a final,” says former Celtic boss Lennon on Sky Sports.

“The Celtic can’t get the upper hand. If Rangers win, it puts them in a good position. Losing McGregor on the bench is a big blow for Celtic. We know the nostalgia he brings to these games. Iwata will really have to step up.”

Brendan Rodgers: Calm reigns

11:34 , Ben Fleming

“I think it’s important not to get caught up in the whole story because sometimes the story can be ‘it could have been a disaster’,” said the Celtic boss in his pre-match press conference.

“But for me the story is that there is always an opportunity. You come, you stay calm and all you have to do is focus on your performance.

“This is one of the biggest, most iconic games in football in the world but you have to perform and you can only do that by staying calm and looking to play your football.”

Philippe Clement: Today’s game is not decisive

11:27 , Ben Fleming

“He who wins is not the champion,” the Rangers boss said ahead of today’s encounter.

“I don’t want mathematicians in my dressing room – I want passionate players who give their best every day for their team and that’s what I saw.

“We’ve got another Old Firm game in a couple of weeks as well, so it’s not a decisive game yet.”

Celtic captain Callum McGregor has a “very good chance” to face Rangers but will not risk Livingston’s artificial surface.

Manager Brendan Rodgers will delay McGregor’s return until after Sunday’s Premier League clash at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

The midfielder has been troubled by Achilles pain and has not featured since coming on at half-time during Celtic’s 7-1 win over Dundee on February 28.

Rangers and Celtic renew warfare in a crucial edition of the Old Firm Derby as both sides battle for the top spot in the Scottish Premiership.

Just a point separates rivals Glasgow in first and second place, with Rangers, who have a game in hand, able to move top with a home win.

Brendan Rodgers’ visitors have won both of their previous meetings this season, however, and will know that victory at Ibrox would see them retain their crown.
