Melania makes a ‘cut deal with Trump’ about his future role if he wins the White House

Melania Trump is unlikely to take on the role of full-time first lady if her husband wins a second term as president, according to a report.

A Trumpworld insider said Page Six that the former Slovenian model cut a deal with Donald Trump that if he took back the White House in November, she wouldn’t have to be on first lady duty 24/7.

Ultimately, Melania believes she can be a “touching mother and first lady at the same time,” the insider said Page Six.

“She doesn’t want a non-stop schedule of events in the White House, and she shows that she can be a hands-on mother and First Lady at the same time.

“Donald is close to Barron, but he’s not going to play football with him when he becomes president and leader of the free world. “Donald has already agreed to this, and he feels that mothers and fathers across the country will understand Melania’s loyalty to their son,” they said.

“Donald trusts Melania to raise her son the same way he trusted Ivana to raise their children… Donald feels it worked for Ivanka, Eric and Don Jr.”

Instead of full-time duties as the President’s wife, Melania plans to split her time between Washington DC and New York, where the couple’s son Barron Trump is expected to attend New York University in the fall.

“She’s a hands-on mom, and plans to spend part of every month — and maybe every week — in NYC,” an insider told Trumpworld Page Six.

The insider said Melania feels “safe” in New York City and in Trump Tower.

“It’s Barron’s home, and that’s why she wants him to go to school in CNO,” they said. “She can provide emotional and physical support by being close. Everyone remembers how she delayed moving to Washington DC until Barron finished school.”

After Trump won the 2016 presidential election and was inaugurated in January 2017, Melania delayed moving into the White House with Barron for another five months to allow her son to finish the school year without interruption.

But despite the safety and comfort she feels in New York, Melania is still worried about the attention her 18-year-old son could face attending college in the city if her father is president, who said the insider.

“Barron has never been completely alone before — and with the added stress of being a college freshman and possibly the son of a president in a predominantly Democratic city, [Melania] He wants to be close… The extra attention he will get if his father is president worries Melania who is also worried about the reaction at her school to Barron’s Secret Service [detail],” they said, adding that the former first lady was an “extremely protective” mother.

“Melania is an extremely protective mother and even pushed back on the idea of Barron serving as a Republican delegate to the [Republican National Convention] from Florida.”

In May, it was announced that Barron would serve as a delegate from Florida nominating his father as the official Republican presidential candidate along with his older brothers at the party’s national convention.

A day later, however, Melania’s office released a statement announcing that Barron would not be participating.

“While Barron is honored to be selected as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he strongly declines to participate due to prior commitments,” the statement said.

This was the first time that the youngest member of the Trump family was directly involved in politics.

Earlier this week, some “Melania-ologists” said. Axios Melania is unlikely to return to Washington DC if her husband wins the presidency.

“Melania does what Melania wants,” Mary Jordan, a Washington Post associate editor and author of the unauthorized Melania biography Art of Marketing (2020).

The former first lady has barely been seen in public since leaving the White House in January 2021, choosing not to participate in rallies and campaign events with her husband, or even support him at to try criminal hush money with him.

When asked about his wife’s absence in February, Trump told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that Melania is a “private person” focused on her family.

“You know, a lot of leading ladies would go out — they want to be everywhere. They get mad at their husbands because he’s not taking them in,” Trump said. “If I hadn’t brought Melania in, she would have been very happy about it. She is a different person.”
