Meghan Markle’s brother launches a campaign of online abuse against the Duchess

Meghan Markle’s brother has been criticized for launching a new round of online abuse aimed at her via her YouTube channel.

Thomas Markle Junior is targeting the Duchess of Sussex with insulting comments and bizarre conspiracy theories. Prominent figures, including politicians and royal commentator Jennie Bond, urged the major website to take action.

Adding insult to injury, Thomas Markle Junior is profiting from these YouTube videos, with viewers sending him monetary tips in response to his outrageous comments. Meghan and her half-brother, who have been embroiled in a long-running family squabble, are said not to have spoken for more than 10 years.

Jennie Bond, the BBC’s former Royal correspondent, was one of the critics who condemned the internet tirades, which she called “grotesque”. She said: “To rule your own flesh and blood the attack must be the ultimate betrayal for Meghan,” reports the Mirror.

It is speculated that Thomas Junior will receive ad revenue from YouTube as well as electronic contributions from viewers. We recently reported the matter to the US-based social media powerhouse, which is known for its strict regulations aimed at preventing offensive language.

The videos emerged just weeks after Kate Middleton, who is currently battling cancer, was targeted by online trolls. Royal expert Bond expressed his disappointment, asking: “Have we learned anything?”

The videos were posted shortly after Meghan gave a speech highlighting the “dangerous environment” social media creates for women.

The Mirror can reveal that Thomas Jr, 57, a former connoisseur, entertains his viewers with a series of outlandish conspiracy theories about Meghan, Prince Harry, 39, and their two children Archie, four, and Lilibet, two. The publication referred the matter to former technology minister Damian Collins, who accused online platforms of “profiting from misery”.

He said: “The major social media companies need to do more to tackle harmful content on their platforms, including harassment and intimidation campaigns. They have created systems that have not only allowed conspiracy theories, but are actively being promoted by the proposed systems designed by these big tech companies.”

In one shocking video, uploaded to his channel just days ago, Markle Jr mimicked his sister by wearing a long dark wig and padding what appeared to be a cushion under his shirt, while holding a tiara . He imitated the sound of air being released, put on a fake female voice and introduced himself as “Me-gain”.

In a series of videos that have garnered thousands of views, Thomas Jr rebutted unfounded online smears about Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland. He also mocked Meghan’s lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, calling it “American River Whore Orchard”.

Just a month ago, Meghan gave an impassioned speech at the SXSW festival in Texas, warning of the serious mental health consequences of social media.

During the keynote address, she highlighted the potential dangers for young girls associated with social media. Speaking candidly, she shared her own experience of receiving “catty” and “cruel” remarks during both pregnancies, declaring “We have forgotten our humanity.”

The controversial videos, with one branding Meghan “a narcissist” and calling her mentally ill, are yet another development in a long-running family row involving her brother Thomas Jr, sister Samantha, 59, and father Thomas Markle, 79.

Meghan has been at loggerheads with the trio ever since he cut off communication with her father after he was exposed to a conspiracy in paparazzi-esque photographs, leading to him losing her marriage to Harry in May 2018. The retired Hollywood lighting director able to attend the historic. ceremony at St. George’s Church in Windsor due to two heart attacks he suffered prematurely in California.

Meghan, who was walked down the aisle by Harry’s father King Charles, 75, instead, emotionally reported in the Netflix documentary: “I lost my father to this”.

The Duchess has also been embroiled in a bitter legal battle with Samantha, who wants to sue her for defamation in Florida over remarks she made during Harry’s 2021 TV interview with Oprah Winfrey. The case was thrown out last month, but Samantha has since lodged an appeal.

Thomas Jr had previously caused a stir for the Duchess in January 2017 when he was arrested after threateningly pointing a gun at his then-girlfriend’s head during a boozy row.

He also wrote an open letter to Harry before their wedding, warning him that he would change the marriage. In one of his latest videos, uploaded earlier this week, Thomas Jr defended his right to discuss Meghan on his YouTube channel and bragged about his plans to make more money by launching his own merchandise line, with his -includes t-shirts, glasses and mugs.

Addressing his sister as if she were present, he said: “It’s not just Meghan’s freedom of speech, it’s everyone’s freedom of speech, so if you don’t like it, don’t watch it, right. He said:” He said also: : “I’ll be riding those little coats! Oh yeah, if it wasn’t Meghan Markle I don’t know what I’d do.”

Markle Jr’s videos may violate YouTube guidelines. They declare that “harassment and cyberbullying are not allowed” and insist that they remove millions of videos annually for violating their policies. They also assert that they have “clear policies” against content targeting an individual with sustained or malicious insults, or threats based on characteristics such as protected group status or physical characteristics.

Thomas Jr, who has more than 36,000 YouTube subscribers, did not respond when The Mirror asked him for a statement. YouTube has been contacted for comment.
