The humble black midi dress is a well-worn staple in every woman’s wardrobe all year round. Although this £35 dress may not look like much on the hug, when you put it on, the fit and functionality shine through, not only will you feel great but you’ll look chic too.
Although I tested the first iteration, which had three-quarter sleeves and sold out quickly within days. M&S has now brought out the same dress in a new autumn-appropriate version.

It’s designed with the same flattering fit and flare shape, but the latest version has long sleeves, making it perfect for the colder months. In fact, to be honest, I actually prefer it to the original. This is why you should add it to your basket ASAP.

First off, this dress is the best of both worlds. The top half is made from a stretchy, rich cotton fabric that is super soft and comfortable. The sheer contrast A-line skirt adds movement to the dress and completes the smart silhouette. Trust me, I tested it by turning around.

Not only does this mean that you can adapt the dress to create your favorite outfit, but I also appreciate the practicality so that I can loosen my waist after having an excessive dinner.

In fact, I was expecting a similar style on COS which is £85, meanwhile similar designer options currently available go up to a staggering £580.
