Katie Price has found herself in hot water after she interrupted others on holiday at a luxury resort in Turkey.
The former glamor model, who is recovering from her sixth facelift, is said to have become agitated when the wounds from her recent cosmetic surgery began to seep into the pool at the Sheraton Istanbul Atakoy Hotel.
The 46-year-old spent last week in the Turkish sunset, but her post-surgery look didn’t go unnoticed.
After the £10,000 makeover, Price’s face was said to be severely scarred and swollen.
Frustrated holidaymakers took to TripAdvisor to voice their concerns, criticizing the hotel for allowing someone in such a condition to use the pool.
One guest said that while the resort itself was “wonderful,” it was unfortunate that they were “letting anyone stay there.” They described seeing Price walking around the hotel with a “crying” face and chalk held together by “staples,” adding that her appearance was not only disturbing but also unhealthy.
The controversy follows a turbulent week for Price, who was arrested at London’s Heathrow Airport on Thursday afternoon after a warrant was issued for her arrest. She was on her way home from Turkey and is expected to appear in court on Friday.
The holidaymaker wrote on the review platform on August 4: “We are currently here and could not fault this wonderful hotel until a famous British ‘celebrity’ and her entourage arrived and d changed our opinion a lot.
“Who wants to relax and eat in a hotel looking at someone with blood all over their face, staples holding their nose to it and incisions bleeding with puss? Oh and she used the pool too…”
Leaving just two stars, the tourist said: “I’m not sure this hotel should be used as a plastic surgery recovery facility. It definitely made me want to visit both again and recommend it to anyone.”
Cem Yalçın, the owner of the hotel, responded diplomatically to the feedback: ‘Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience while staying with us. Your experience during your visit is below our standards.
“Providing the highest level of hospitality is our top priority and I sincerely apologize for failing to meet your expectations.
“I have shared your feedback with the entire leadership team to ensure that the necessary guidelines are in place and reviewed to prevent future occurrences.
“I hope you choose to stay with us again when your travels bring you back to the area.”
The report comes as Price was released on bail just hours after her arrest at Heathrow Airport.
The PA news agency reported that the television personality was released on bail by a magistrate outside normal hours on Thursday night.
It comes after a judge issued an arrest warrant when she failed to attend a hearing related to her bankruptcies.
Price previously said she was not “retiring”, but was “away working for a documentary on corrective surgeries” during the court hearing.
In a now-deleted statement on Instagram, Price wrote: “I know I’m about to be detained at the airport and obviously the courts feel that’s necessary.
“I hope of course, for the sake of my son who is with me, that they will at least allow him some dignity and protection because this will be very disturbing for him to see.
“Although I understand the importance and severity of the issue I feel that I am treated as a criminal.”
Price was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March this year.
At a hearing in February, Price was ordered to pay the trustee 40% of her monthly income from adult entertainment website OnlyFans for the next three years, in connection with her first bankruptcy.
She was then declared bankrupt for the second time in March over an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000 owed to HMRC.
Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton said Price had received “very clear warnings” that she must attend the hearing on July 30.
Price was to face questions about her finances in the specialist bankruptcy court in London from lawyers representing the trustee of her two bankruptcies.
A judge said at a previous hearing that the former glamor model risked arrest if she did not attend further court dates, adding that evidence would have to be provided if she failed to appear.
But the court heard Price had reportedly traveled to Turkey.
In issuing the arrest warrant, Judge Burton said Price had given no explanation for her absence from the court hearing.
Judge Burton also said that an arrest warrant was not issued “lightly”, but that Price had offered “little co-operation” and had failed to provide the “most basic information” regarding her bankruptcy.
