ITV has confirmed the program for I’m A Celebrity… Find Out Here! 2024, with Coleen Rooney, ex-Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse and McFly’s Danny Jones among the stars fighting to become King or Queen of the Jungle.
This year’s series of the hit reality show kicks off at 9pm on Sunday, November 17 and celebrities have already started arriving on Australia’s Gold Coast.
They include N-Dubz star, former The X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos, Loose Women panellist Jane Moore and former boxing champion Barry McGuigan.

Oti Mabuse
Oti Mabuse rose to fame as a Strictly Come Dancing professional and won the BBC competition twice — with Kelvin Fletcher in 2019 and Bill Bailey in 2020. She was the first professional dancer to win the Glitterball Trophy in back-to-back years.
After leaving the program in 2022, she took on a judging role on Dancing On Ice.
Explaining why she decided to try the jungle, Mabuse, 34, said: “I’ve been a fan of I’m A Celebrity for a long time. Apart from Strictly and Dancing on Ice, it’s the show I watch religiously, and I remember last year thinking: ‘Okay, this feels right. I’m definitely ready for it now, I’m ready for the challenge’.
“Now that I have my baby daughter, I want to return to Oti which is adventurous and fun. I feel ready for a change and doing something completely different. I’ll be wearing no make-up, concealer, lashes – it’ll be nice to be laid back.”
Alan Halsall
Alan Halsall is best known for playing Tyrone Dobbs in Coronation Street, having played the mechanic since 1998.
As his place in the line-up was confirmed, the 42-year-old admitted his participation was “the worst kept secret ever”.
It has now been revealed that two other Corrie stars were among the reasons he signed up.
“I’m very close to Andy Whyment and Jenni McAlpine, who have both done it before, and everyone tells me they’ve had a great experience,” Halsall said. “It’s a lifetime experience and I’m sure I’ll learn some new things about myself along the way too.”
Jane Moore
Journalist Jane Moore has been a regular on the Loose Women panel since 2013 and says her co-stars taking part in I’m A Celeb will be “funny”.
“They will vote for me to do the worst kinds of trials,” she said.
Luckily, she thinks she’ll be able to take a logical approach when it comes to trying to win those all-important stars for the camp.
“I like to think of myself as a discerning person but this remains to be seen,” Moore, 62, said. “I’m sure a lot of people think before they face those trials and then courage goes out the window.
“I’m not sure how I’ll feel either when I’m faced with an Australian beetle that looks more like a tarantula than a house spider.”
Dean McCullough
Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough, 32, looks set to face a tough time – after admitting he is “scared of everything”.
“The more I think about being buried in the ground with 50 snakes or getting those green fly things that bit me – well just think about it, because I won’t get on the plane,” he previously said. . flying to Australia.
“When Ant and Dec say things like, ‘We’re going to hang you off the side of that cliff’, you know it’s not going to be a fun day. It’s not Alton Towers – it’s going to be torturous.”
Tulisa Contostavlos
Tulisa Contostavlos shot to fame as part of chart-topping trio N-Dubz, who split in 2011. They reunited 11 years later, for a UK tour that included sold-out dates at London’s O2 Arena.
Contostavlos, who was recently out of the limelight, acted as a judge on The X Factor and mentored pop superstars Little Mix.
Reflecting on how she thinks she will do in the jungle, the 36-year-old said: “I’ll probably struggle in the first few days because it’s a big thing for me to do something like this.
“I haven’t been noticed much in a while and I have an irrational fear of avoiding it. I’m probably the most emotional when I first go in. It’s going to take me a while to settle in, but I know I’ll get there.”
Melvin Odom
DJ Melvin Odoom, 44, is no stranger to reality TV, having taken part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2016.
However, the I’m A Celeb camp couldn’t be further from the glitz and glamor of the BBC’s ballroom.
He revealed a big, unexpected fear of the series – which has nothing to do with creepy crawlies or terrifying trials.
“My biggest fear is snoring,” he said. “I’m trying to train myself, because dealing with people’s sleep is a big deal. I might be the enemy of the camp if my snoring comes out. It’s loud.”
Rooney’s goal
Coleen Rooney – or Wagatha Christie, to take advantage of the nickname she infamously earned in 2019 – has been a tabloid staple for years, thanks to her marriage to former English footballer Wayne.
Although she often hits the headlines, the Liverpudlian has usually tried to stay out of the spotlight and has admitted that she has turned down multiple TV offers in the past.
“Year after year I’ve been asked to go on a program and it hasn’t always been true,” Rooney said. “Over the years, different things have been going on in my life and also, my children were very young. But they are at an age now where I can go this far.
“I also feel it’s time to challenge myself and do something different. It took many, many years but I’m finally doing it. And I’ve always said if I was going to do one — it would be this show. I think it will be good for me.”
Barry McGuigan
Former boxer Barry McGuigan, now a successful boxing trainer, will bring his competitive spirit to the jungles of Asia.
“I want to do well,” said McGuigan, who was nicknamed The Clones Cyclone and held the WBA and lineal featherweight titles from 1985 to 1986. “I’m not saying the I win, but I want to be. in there for a sustained period so I can get to know all the boys in the camp.”
The 63-year-old is also quietly confident about taking on the Bushtucker trials.
“It might be embarrassing and you might be tired, but to be a fighter and to be committed and committed to training and preparing for fights … you have to go through hell, physically and psychologically,” he said. “So I know what I’m letting myself in for.”
GK Barry
Podcast and social media star GK Barry is known for her TikTok videos, but she’s no stranger to TV, having appeared on The Wheel and The Weakest Link.
She describes herself as a “super fan” of the show and is excited to meet its hosts, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
“I’m also excited to meet everyone on the show, because the cast is always amazing,” she said.
Barry, 25, has some phobias that she has to face, though. She says she “didn’t sleep” in the month before the program.
“I’m scared of the tests and I’m really scared of everything,” she said. “The eating test for me is the worst thing you can do to a person. You also never know who you’re going to click with but hopefully, after the first week, I’ll settle in nicely.”
Danny Jones
McFly’s Danny Jones is the celebrity in the final in 2024 and like McGuigan, he’s going to face more than a few scares in the jungle.
When asked which test scares him the most, the singer and guitarist said: “All of them… all of them really.”
“I’ve tried to forget all my phobias,” Jones, 38, added. “I’ve never been put in a situation like this.”
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on ITV1 at 9pm on Sunday, November 17.
