She may be one of the most recognized actresses in the world but Sienna Miller likes to keep a relatively low profile. There is only one photo on her Instagram page (at least since 2017) and she rarely gives interviews unless a new film is being promoted. But that doesn’t stop us from wanting to know more about her – in fact, if we’re honest – it probably heightens the curiosity.
Plus, since Sienna is one of those natural beauties who has apparently never had a bad hair/make up/skin day in her life, we’re dying to know which products make the cut into his personal skin care stash.
Fortunately, Sienna’s beauty routine has in the past been shared between her make-up artist and friend Wendy Rowe, plus – sometimes – herself. So, we searched through the archives to find out which products Sienna uses on a daily basis. Here’s what happened when one editor put it to the test…
1/ Pai Skincare Camellia & Rose Hydrating Cleanser
Sharing a post on Instagram, makeup artist Wendy Rowe revealed that Pai’s cleanser is one of her favorite skin options to use on Sienna. “I love using Pai Skincare with Sienna. It’s natural, certified organic, vegan and cruelty free,” she wrote.
I’m with Sienna on this one. One of my favorite brands is Pai, created by a fellow West Londoner, Sarah Brown. His whole range is hard-working, but extremely sweet. This cleanser works wonders on removing stubborn make-up and SPF but doesn’t strip the skin thanks to its creamy and moisturizing formulation. I am sold.
2 / SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic Serum
Speaking to the Telegraph, Sienna once said, “I see frontwoman Una Brennan, who works from her living room in Notting Hill in London – I call it Una’s Chambers. It’s quite an intense experience: She uses freezing ice masks that make you feel as if your brain will fall out of the top of your head. You look great afterwards, though. Una got me on to SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic Serum and now I use it every day.”
This is also a firm fave in my skincare arsenal. Vitamin C is a brightening powerhouse and keeps skin looking and feeling healthy thanks to its antioxidant power. Yes, it is expensive but it is well proven and after trying hundreds of vitamin C products, I can safely say (and Alumier MD) that it takes the best spot.
3/ La Mer The Concentrate
When it comes to skincare, Sienna doesn’t skimp. “There are definitely some products that I really love and this is my favorite.” Sienna said via a YouTube video shared by La Mer. “It’s full of antioxidants so when you put it on your skin it feels really firm and smooth and hydrated.”
She continued, “This is a brand I’ve always loved because my mother used The Cream, and when I was younger, if I had any skin problems, I would go to in her bathroom and I’d get that little stick out and dig out. a little bit.”
While it’s true that La Mer has a cult following, its high price tag means it’s a no-go for many, including myself. The good news is that there are plenty more serums in the sea, and at half the price. Also, since I haven’t noticed a huge difference in the appearance of my skin I will be sticking to my Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate.
4/ Natura Bissé Diamond Glyco Extreme Peel
For exfoliation, Sienna uses the Spa-loving brand Natura Bissé. “This glycolic peel is good for occasional use,” Sienna told Rowe. The mask, which uses AHAs and peptides to provide smooth skin at home, helps improve the appearance of wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and skin tone for a more even, radiant and rejuvenated complexion.
This is a great product if you are looking for instant skin pick me up. It’s got it all, AHAs to speed up skin cell turnover and banish dullness, BHA to draw up sebum from pores and Gamma-shikimic acid to help with dark spots. However, I would say that for the same price, you are better off booking a professional peel.
If you’re looking for something more wallet friendly, try Tata Harper’s Skin Resurfacing, or try my go to Drunk Elephant Babyfacial.
5/ Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Skin Clay Mask
Skincare favorite Sienna relies on to keep her red carpet ready is the Charlotte Tilbury Clay Mask. She told Rowe, “I like both Charlotte Tilbury face masks, but the cream one is my favorite.”
This lovely DIY mask is great to add to your Sunday Self Care line if you’ve had a tax weekend. It is also perfect for those who want to clean oily skin thanks to the hero ingredient clay. However, too many masks and peels is a sure fire way to fast track irritation and sensitivity. So stick with one or the other, or use the one that best meets your skin’s needs at the time.
6/ Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream
It’s no surprise that some of Sienna’s most beloved skin care products are those time-tested costume classics. A must-have item in Sienna’s outfit at all times? Elizabeth Arden’s iconic Eight Hour Cream. She told Rowe, “Eight Hour Cream is great for your lips, and you can slap it on your face too if you’re flying.”
Perfect for this time of year, this soothing skin protector helps with chapped lips and patches of dry skin. I’ve used moonshine since then and then it got overlooked when more trendy brands like Glossier showed up and I’ve since forgotten how good this product really is. Happily, it’s now a fixture in my line-up again.
Sienna Miller’s Skin Care Routine: My Review
Overall, Sienna’s skincare is not for me and one I would definitely recommend to those looking to dial up their glow. While it was great to try some pricier products, it was a firm reminder that a higher price point doesn’t always mean better results. For me, the only thing missing is an SPF product, which I rely on for skin protection. Ultimately, though, if you’re looking to spice up your routine, Sienna’s product recommendations are pretty spot on.
