‘I can’t wait to move back to London… (and Cindy Crawford is fit)’

When life knocks him down, Noel Gallagher has never been one to look back in anger.

He has married his youth to abuse in one of the world’s most notorious cases of sibling rivalry – and the 56-year-old is still getting away with it.

He is now doing the same as a single man after splitting from wife Sara MacDonald after 22 years with the republican, by jumping back into the party he was famous for in the nineties .

Appearing on the latest Matt Morgan podcast episodes, the rock’n’roll star opened up about how he’s embracing single life – including a recent dinner date with ’90s supermodel Cindy Crawford – and the how he loves super strong Amsterdam drugs.

Following his divorce from MacDonald, 52, the High Flying Birds frontman is also busy setting up his new “bachelor pad” in Maida Vale, London, after becoming unhappy with the “isolation” of country life at his a pile in the land that is now empty. .

Ó Gallchóir said: “When I finish this trip I have approximately five months of holiday. I’m really looking forward to it as I’m moving into my new place in London so I need to get my new place looking good.

“I have done all the planning. It’s going to be ready to move into for Christmas, but it won’t really feel like home until you’ve lived there for six or seven months.

“I’m looking forward to January to the end of May being free… and I’ll be living in London. I haven’t lived in London for about four years and I’m really looking forward to going back to London and being around.

“I’m always in London, but I lived in Hampshire in 2019. And because I can’t drive I can’t go out and do anything so I have to plan everything a day in advance.”

He continued: “I’ve forgotten what it’s like to be in London and I can go to the shops and if I’m out of bread I can go to Gail’s bakery. I’ve missed it, and I can’t wait to get back into it – spontaneous nights in the pub, you know what I mean?

“Even if you’re out in the country, and especially when you’re living alone in the country, it’s an isolated life. I’m not knocking it, because I’ve really enjoyed the solitude, especially with the personal things I’ve had on my plate for the past few years, so it’s been good.

“But I’m really looking forward to getting back among the f***ing people.”

Gallagher’s move will evoke memories among Oasis of his days at Supernova Heights – his league base for non-stop parties on Steele’s Road in London’s Belsize Park.

The property, whose name was etched into the glass above the front door, became famous for wild bashes thrown by the singer and his wife, Meg Mathews, 57, with guests including Gallagher’s ex Kate Moss – who lived there for a while. several weeks – and members of The Charlatans and the Sex Pistols.

Gallagher recently reunited with Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones at a dinner hosted by Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary – with other guests including Beck, Matthew McConaughey and Cindy Crawford.

Gallagher seemed impressed by the former model’s presence, describing her as “fit as f***”.

He said: “My friend Guy Oseary, who used to be U2’s manager and is Madonna’s manager… I called him and said, ‘I’m in town for a few days,’ and he said, ‘Would you like to come over? to my house for dinner? I’ll find a few people over there.’

“So I said, ‘Okay.’ And I go to this dinner and I was there, of course, Beck, Steve Jones, Matthew McConaughey and – listen to this – Cindy Crawford. How about that?

“I met Beck a few times, and we were laughing because we co-wrote the two new Black Keys albums, so we were chatting about that.

“And Beck’s bass player was the bass player on [High Flying Birds album] Who Built the Moon?, so we were talking about it, and then of course Jonesy is one of my all-time favorite people, and I was chatting with him about that Danny Boyle Pistols biopic thing. It was just a good dinner. He went up on his motorcycle.

“Then this woman shows up at this dinner, and she’s like, ‘I’m Cindy,’ and I’m like, ‘F*** in hell – that’s Cindy Crawford’. “I couldn’t believe it. She’s f*** fit as f**k – fit as fuuuu*k.”

Gallagher admitted on another of Morgan’s recent podcasts that he was “very high” after a night of misery on his tour bus – and recalled that he loved a weed vaporizer “f***ing way out” in Amsterdam called “volcano”.

“It’s amazing,” he said. “It’s the same theory as vape, where it’s pure weed smoke. It’s f***ing far out, let me tell you.

“I’ll put you on a Volcano and push you into a canal and run away. I don’t have to be careful with that stuff – I buy the most expensive thing in the shop.”

I don’t think it’s possible to get me too high

Gallagher said it was worth “going too high on purpose” to try musician Neil Young’s cure for being “too high” – which is to eat black peppers.

But Gallagher said: “I don’t think I can get too high.”

Since announcing his split from MacDonald, the “Wonderwall” songwriter has been spotted out and about in London, hanging out at his favorite haunts including the Chiltern Firehouse.

He’s also joked about turning “Adventure Dad” while vacationing with his kids in the south of France, Iceland, and Italy’s Amalfi Coast on a recent string of vacations.

This jet-setting lifestyle is a far cry from Noel’s turbulent upbringing in Manchester, where he and his brothers Liam and Paul were terrorized by their alcoholic father, Thomas.

In the documentary supersonic, Ó Gallchóir told how “his father hit him with talent”.

He and Paul – the older Gallagher brother – struggled with stammers exacerbated by their father’s abuse. Their mother Peggy later filed for legal separation and raised the three boys alone.

Despite the trauma, the singer-songwriter claimed he never admitted or discussed the abuse with a doctor or therapist.

“My dad used to beat the living daylights out of me,” he said. “I never felt compelled to talk about it or write about it. I know I think it’s nobody else’s business. You can’t let that kind of affect you in any way, because then you’re carrying that weight for life.”

That’s not to say he doesn’t have a gloom or two.

“I never forgave him because he never apologized,” Noel Told Q Magazine in 2005, his silence on the incident was broken for the first time. “He’s my brother. I hope he is reading this and understands that. He is my brother but he is at arm’s length until he apologizes for what he has done.”

Noel admitted earlier this year that he and MacDonald had decided to divorce after reaching a “crossroads” in their lives.

“It’s not uncommon for people who have been in long-term relationships to go their separate ways in their fifties,” he added Big Edition.

“I know a lot of people in the same boat as me and Sara. Especially after the pandemic.”

He and MacDonald announced their separation in January this year, in a brief statement that said their two children, Donovan, 16, and 13-year-old Sonny, were still their priority.
