“We continue to grow our roster at Uniphi Space to this day,” Balliro tells Space.com. “We have almost 40 exclusive clients and have worked with more than a hundred astronauts so far. It’s a small family if you like. We consider ourselves as allies and supporters of astronauts. That’s why we’re here, really, to help you. navigate whatever requests come in, like book deals or endorsements, and help them get active.”

When Balliro first launched the Uniphi Space Agency there was no commercial space program or private astronaut, so this was a completely new concept.

“So now it’s been such a journey because one of our clients, Michael Lopez-Alegria, has gone back to space twice and we’re an integral part of that and it’s just incredible to watch When we first started doing this with me a lot of people thought that some of our clients would be going back to the space so soon because of that we were able to do some incredible collaborations. it’s very different when there’s a private astronaut mission versus a government type. So it’s been an honor to be able to work not only with the astronauts, but with all the commercial space companies that we have in a small part of each. something because now all our astronauts work at all those companies.

“As a girl from Swampscott, her dad would drive down by Cape Canaveral and we’d stay in the trailer to watch rocket launches when I was five or six years old, and I was always fascinated at the stars, to be present there are such incredible people.”
