Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ tough coaches have revealed the real “disappointment” reason they believe John Barrowman quit the series – and it’s very different to the explanation offered by the Torchwood star.

John Barrowman quit Celebrity SAS in the nick of time, claiming he quit the Channel 4 series after 32 minutes because he didn’t need to do more work to find out who he really is.

But it has to be strong, it has to be unbreakable because it has to last throughout the course. If there is any crack then why will they look for an excuse to go.”
Talking about trying to break celebrity causes from doing the show, he said: “That’s part of the attraction for us. We enjoy it. I love showing people that they’re stronger than they think they are. .”
But when asked about Barrowman’s exit, Oliver didn’t hold back, saying: “You think people know what the show is about. But when you throw in that uncertainty in the equation … he got up to why – clearly his why wasn’t strong enough.
“He did the first task and we thought that was it, usually the course goes on and people take it as it comes. But we got to the bottom and we experienced, and that’s when me and Foxy bring around and show them where they will stay throughout the course.

Oliver added that turning Barrowman into an armband – something recruits must do when they leave – also had an impact on the team. He explained: “It’s disappointing for us because we’re running the course. As much as it’s a TV show and the course is amazing, we’re passionate about it.
“He took a place there and we have spent time testing, setting up this course and we want to pass our experience on to them, so that they grow, and when he turned (his armband) in there was disappointment deep on us.”
Elsewhere, the SAS team talked about the SAS final on This Morning. Anthony Ogogo, Bianca Gascoigne, Georgia Harrison and Lani Daniels are still in the final and viewers will see if any of them manage to pass the course.
Talking about his chances, Foxy said: “If they’re all good enough to finish the course, they’ll all finish the course, but it’s up to them.”
He added: “It’s a different kettle of fish. So the people who have gone to this stage are used to us screaming and shouting and putting them through the mixer and testing them physically but this is a mental thing altogether. That’s a whole different thing.” “
Reyes said of so many women making it to the finals: “It’s the thing that surprised me the most in this program. In my experience, we don’t have women in the Special Forces community and I recognize that women are much tougher and much more capable than they used to be. Many people know it.
He added: “There are some very special women who have what it takes to do a hard job. Women can get to places that men cannot. They can certainly be an asset.”
What did John Barrowman say about leaving SAS Celebrity?
The morning after Barrowman’s exit from episode one of this year’s series aired, he called into Lorraine for a video interview where he offered his reasons for not staying the course.
He told her about signing on for the show: “The idea behind it was that I thought it would give you an opportunity to tell the story and also the show itself helps people come to grips with things that they’re struggling with and which is gone. That’s why I did it, I thought to give it a whirl, see what happens and also I like a challenge.”
He said: “I looked at myself even when I was doing the interview footage and I still saw that angry person, the person who was still upset, the person who was still in a bad place.
“But as I continued that first day and they were saying things like ‘you don’t know who you are, you have to find out who you are, you have to find out who you really are ‘. However, Barrowman said he had no regrets, saying: “I feel good about it, and the show did exactly what it set out to do, it made me realize who I am. He revealed that show bosses tried to get him to stay: “They tried to talk me out of it, they tried to keep me in and I understand why, but in my head I made the decision and I knew that I would like.
