They say the devil wears Prada – well, in 2012, he really did on the runway.
The brand didn’t enlist traditional models to close its fall 2012 men’s show at Milan Fashion Week. Instead, a series of familiar faces made their way down the runway – Willem Dafoe, Tim Roth, Adrien Brody, Gary Oldman, Emile Hirsch, Garrett Hedlund and Jamie Bell.

Known for playing antagonists in a variety of popular films – from “Spider-Man” to “Pulp Fiction,” they were clad in garish suits, many complete with knee-length and double-breasted jackets, the actors gave their best to the spectators. menacing looks as they walk through the carpet mall.
Miuccia Prada found inspiration for the collection from men in power, and how the use of fashion can convey authority or supremacy. “Clothes are also a tool of power and a way to express male vanity,” she told WWD at the time.
Although the show was over a decade ago, Prada’s Villains show has been trending on social media in recent months. The actors who walked the runway on TikTok have undergone major changes, including background music from Lana Del Rey to David Bowie.

Willem Dafoe
One of Dafoe’s most iconic roles is his portrayal of the Green Goblin — Norman Osborn — in Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man,” in which he stars opposite Tobey Maguire. It’s no surprise that the character actor agreed to take part in the Prada show – he’s a proven fan of the brand, having worn their clothes for years.
Tim Roth
Roth, who collaborated with Quentin Tarantino, had a memorable turn as a bad guy at the box office. He plays the burglar Ringo/Pumpkin in “Pulp Fiction,” and played Emil Blonsky/The Abomination in “The Incredible Hulk” opposite Mark Ruffalo.
Adrien Brody
Perhaps best known for his Oscar-winning role in “The Pianist,” Brody has also been known for playing a variety of character types throughout his career. Among them, he has portrayed the villain Dmitri in the beloved Wes Anderson feature “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and has become a fan favorite in “Peaky Blinders”. In terms of fashion, it was announced last year that the actor would partner with Bally to design a capsule collection.
Gary Oldman
Oldman has played many villains throughout his career, but “Léon: The Professional” was considered one of his best roles. He stars as Norman Stansfield, a corrupt and murderous DEA agent.
Emile Hirsch
Memorably, in the movie “Killer Joe,” Hirsch plays a young drug dealer who hires a hit man to kill his mother for insurance money. Outside of acting, he has starred in fashion campaigns for brands including Rag and Bone.
Garrett Hedlund
Although best known for “Tron,” Hedlund played the leader of a murder gang in “Death Sentence,” which also starred Kevin Bacon.

Jamie Bell
