Real Madrid vs Manchester City – LIVE!

Real Madrid host Man City inside the Santiago Bernabeu tonight looking for revenge in the Champions League. Carlo Ancelotti’s side, who have dominated the European scene for the past decade or so, were beaten 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium in last year’s semi-final.

Madrid have not, in recent years, gone far without winning the competition on which they have built their great reputation. The signing of Jude Bellingham made them stronger but City’s champions have shown little sign of slowing down. Along with Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne, such winners are suitable for any stage.

Pep Guardiola’s side still have a chance to retain the three titles they lifted last season and will have the chance to beat Madrid at the Etihad, if they keep things in order tonight. Follow all the action LIVE with Standard Sport’s dedicated game blog!

Lucas Paqueta: Man City are still eyeing West Ham’s £85m star ahead of the summer transfer window

17:42 , Jonathan Gorrie

Manchester City remain keen on signing West Ham’s Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta.

City wanted the 26-year-old last summer, and he is seen as a potential long-term replacement for Kevin De Bruyne, who turns 33 in June. Paqueta’s hopes of an £80 million move to the Etihad were dashed after City learned of an FA investigation into potential betting rules breaches.

Paqueta is still in the dark about the investigation, but he continued to play for West Ham and enjoyed a great season under David Moyes. He has also earned a recall to the Brazil squad and starred against England at Wembley last month.
