A crash on the M25 near Heathrow Airport is said to have stopped all traffic on the clockwise carriageway,
Traffic is backed up following the collision at junction 14, where the road meets the A3133 Airport Road, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring system.
Queues are going back more than three miles, past junction 13 for Staines.
Live traffic cameras showed the emergency services including several ambulances at the scene, around 10am.
It comes after the M25 in Surrey reopened early after the first day of the motorway’s planned closure over the weekend.
A five mile stretch between junctions 10 and 11 was closed in both directions at 9pm on Friday and was due to reopen at around 6am on Monday.
However, after works to lay a bridge and install a large bridge, it reopened at 10pm on Sunday. An 11.5 mile diversion route was created to direct traffic along A roads, causing significant disruption, but the traffic jams were not as bad as many had feared.

Frantic Heathrow passengers say they expect to miss their flights, after being caught in a four-mile queue of westbound traffic on the M25 near the airport following a multi-vehicle crash.
One user on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote at 11.25am: “We are part of the long M25 stop coming into Heathrow for my parents’ flight LHR-SFO at 1:05pm. Traffic doesn’t look like it’s going to move anytime soon.”
Another passenger named Kim Le Geyt wrote that she feared missing her 12.50pm flight from Heathrow to New York. She later said that the traffic was moving, and that she hoped to arrive just in time for BA’s check-in deadline, which was an hour before departure.

Highways England has clarified the exact diversion route in place, following the closure of the M25 near junction 14.
A spokesman told the Standard to divert traffic from the M25 at junction 14, before entering the roundabout, then rejoining the M25 on the slip road.
Motorists are warned to expect delays of one hour on the M25

National Highways is warning drivers to expect delays of around an hour and traffic queues for four miles on the clockwise motorway near Heathrow, following this morning’s accident.

More than four miles of traffic now queued on the M25

Traffic queues on the M25 clockwise following an accident near Heathrow Airport are now more than four miles long.
Traffic cameras show all five lanes are heavily congested almost back to junction 12, following the crash near the Heathrow turn at junction 14.
The multi-vehicle accident has closed all clockwise lanes.
Traffic is being diverted via slipways, but National Highways is urging drivers to allow “plenty of extra travel time”.

A track circuit failure is affecting trains traveling between London Blackfriars and London St Pancras International.
National Rail says trains could be delayed by up to 20 minutes. The disruption will last until 1pm.
It affects services between Three Bridges and Bedford; Brighton and Cambridge/Bedford; Horsham and Peterborough; Rainham and Luton; and Sutton and St Albans.

Trains passing through Barnes Bridge in south-west London may be canceled or delayed due to animals on the railway line, says National Rail.
The disruption is expected to last until around 10am.
“Train services must run at a reduced speed through this area,” National Rail said.

Traffic is on the stretch from junction 29 of the A127 (Romford/Basildon) to junction 28 of the A12 (Brentwood Roundabout/Brook Street).
