1. “I work in quality assurance and food safety. I only have a bachelors and REHS license that took the summer to get. I make almost $125k. I work from home most days and it’s so interesting! Easy hours and no weekends. “

2. “Store directors at Target in southern California can make $150k+ base salary (starting) and $25k-$50k in bonuses.”

3. “I’m a technical account manager for a cybersecurity vendor. No degrees, just a few certifications in networking. As anyone in the corporate world knows, loyalty is the key to financial growth and you get your money’s worth the way in. at $60k and was at $100k five years later Now, I’m at $180k after 9 years, unlimited PTO, free company stock, 401k, and all the typical insurance benefits. The work is based on online meetings with customers, so I work from home and the actual work is 20-30 hours a week.”

“There’s a lot of down time. You only work maybe 50% of the time you’re on shift and the schedule is extremely flexible. You can drop or pick up shifts without any supervisor approval. At my company , I only have to work 50% of my scheduled hours to keep the job and its benefits, that’s about 14.5 a week. Basically, I can work four days a month and this job keep me free while I travel the world.”

5. “I’m a 28 year old male with about 10 years of experience in the retail industry. I make $120,000 a year as a store manager. Hours can be anywhere from 40-70 (70 when holidays come around and don’t (you”t have a full management team) It’s challenging and people don’t understand what goes into it, but that’s what I signed up for.”

6. “I own and operate my own food truck. I do summer fairs and festivals. This year I’ll grow to about $275k from the end of April to November. I pocket half of the gross, so the winter is spent tanning and doing light duty. paperwork and repairs and upgrades.”

Entry level jobs in this field are around $60k a year, but I’m at six figures after five years in the industry! every day, I help my company respond to prospect/client solicitations, which consists of project management, presentation work, answer some questions, and build executive summaries. It’s a pretty easy gig (for a certain type of person, it’s not for everyone!) , I work remotely from my dream mountain home, and I usually stick to a 40 hour work week.”

9. “I’m a nursing instructor at a community college, and I make over $90,000 a year. I teach two days 12 hours a week, I go into the office for a few hours for student meetings every week, and I take turns as regular hospital nurse once every three weeks I grade papers from home for an hour a week It’s a good work-life balance, and I tend to fly under the administration’s radar because I do most of my teaching outside of campus, so when I run into bigwigs they often mistake me for a student, and I rarely see my boss. I like it that way, and the data the school collects shows that test scores are os above average by students I tutor and give me good ratings.”
